Curate was founded in 2014 with a vision to provide an online shopping experience that showcases a curated selection of goods from everyone’s favourite New Zealand brands and stores. We’re proud to have built a platform that enables discovery – a place for small businesses to reach new customers; filled with content that inspires us to shop locally and thoughtfully. 

In this time we’ve connected 15,000 customers with over 100,000 products curated from 250 stores – but to continue would require a level of investment and scale that is not currently viable. We have made the difficult but pragmatic decision to close Curate, effective March 31 2020. 

Our journey has been filled with amazing collaborations, customers, small business owners, partners and advisors – It’s with great fondness that we say farewell and thank you for backing us.

FAQs

For customers…

Will existing orders be delivered?

If you have an existing order that has not yet been delivered, please contact the store that it was purchased from, who will be able to provide you with delivery details. You can find the store’s details in your order confirmation email.

Can I recover my wishlist?

We appreciate that you took time to curate your most loved products. If you would like to recover your wishlist, please email us and we will do our best to get this to you.

For stores…

Do I need to do anything?

You’ll need to remove the Curate Sales Channel app through your Shopify admin. For instructions, see here.

Will I still be charged?

For any orders fulfilled in March 2020, you will receive a commission charge through your monthly Shopify invoice.
